Booster Roles & Committees
President
The president oversees booster meetings and activities. They also have a close working relationship with all board members and the GMS Band Directors, facilitating the success of all band booster activities.
Fundraising & Merchandising
Fundraising & Merchandising is responsible for coordinating strategies to raise funds to support the band program. They also coordinate the production of GMS Tiger Band T-shirts and other merchandise.
Finance
Finance is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the organization. This includes but is not limited to, managing the budget, keeping accurate financial records, and distributing funds.
Communications
Communications is responsible for ensuring that members are informed about the activities, events, and initiatives of the booster organization and the band program. They maintain the Band Booster website and all social media accounts.
Membership
Membership is responsible for overseeing the recruitment, retention, and engagement of members. They maintain an accurate record of members and keep a record of all volunteer activity within the Club.
Hospitality
Hospitality is responsible for creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for members, parents, and guests of the booster organization and the band program. They also coordinate all hospitality events, including but not limited to band parties, the incoming 6th grade instrument drive and the annual Fine Arts Holiday Luncheon.
6th Grade Representative
The 6th Grade Parent Representative is the liaison between the incoming 6th grade class and the current members of the Band Boosters. They will assist in ensuring all band communications are received by the new class throughout the year, provide support to 6th grade Band Booster members and encourage recruitment and retention entering 7th grade.
