Welcome to Gorzycki Middle School! We are so glad you are considering or have chosen band for your 6th-grade year! Absolutely no experience is necessary to join band. The slideshow below will walk you through everything you need to know before Instrument Selection Day on Saturday, February 4.

Sign up for Instrument Selection Day to come try instruments! You will try all mouthpieces during your time slot, so there is no need to sign up for multiple appointments. Don’t forget to watch the instrument demonstration video before the 4th so you are familiar with the instruments that we have available in our band program.

After Instrument Selection Day, band directors will match students with the instrument that best suits them and parents will be notified by the end of February. Information about instrument rental and supplies needed will be sent at that time.
